July 31-August 3: The 30th annual Meadow Brook Concours d’Elegance pays tribute to Ferraris, GM’s 100th anniversary, and 8-liter Bentleys in Rochester, Mich. The weekend includes a preview party, motoring tour, auction, the Destination d’Elegance, and the Vineyard on the Hill Gala. www.meadowbrookconcours.org

August 4-13: The Pebble Beach Motoring Classic begins near Seattle, Wash., and covers approximately 1,500 miles before reaching the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. No more than 30 cars will be accepted for participation. www.pebblebeachconcours.net

August 11-12: As part of the Carmel-by-the-Sea Concours on the Avenue, over 130 cars will assemble in downtown Carmel. Porsches and Ferraris through the 1973 model year as well as an array of vehicles from 1946 to 1971 will be featured. www.motorclubevents.com

August 12-13: More than 45 international dealers will participate in the sixth annual Automobilia Monterey expo at the Embassy Suites in Seaside, Calif. www.automobiliamonterey.com

August 13-17: The Blackhawk Exposition Sale, held on the Peter Hay Golf Course, will offer over 65 cars from the Blackhawk Collection. www.blackhawkcollection.com

August 14: The Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance, presented by Rolex, is open to all Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance entrants. Cars depart from Collins Field in Pebble Beach, trace portions of the original 17-mile Drive and Highway One, and arrive in Carmel-by-the-Sea, where they will be displayed before returning to Pebble Beach. www.pebblebeachconcours.net

August 15: The 1960 Jaguar "E2A" prototype is expected to sell for over $7 million at Bonhams & Butterfields’ auction at the Quail Lodge Resort & Golf Club. The Collectors’ Automobilia portion begins at 10:00 a.m. and will be followed by the Exceptional Collectors’ Motorcars auction at 1:00 p.m. www.bonhams.com/us.

August 14-15: The Concorso Italiano kicks off with the first annual Concorso Gala. The festivities continue Friday when a selection of Italian cars will be on display at the City of Marina California Airport in Monterey Bay. www.concorso.com

August 14-16: Russo and Steele presents "Monterey Sports and Muscle at the Marriott." Proceeds from silent auctions at the preview cocktail reception will go to HeRO (Hunger Relief Organization). www.russoandsteele.com

August 15-16: RM Auctions hosts the Sports & Classics of Monterey auction, offering over 200 cars. The event will be held at the Portola Hotel & Spa and Monterey Conference Center. Tickets are $40. www.rmauctions.com

August 15-17: The 35th annual Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races, which garner more than 40,000 visitors each year, will feature 375 historic race and sports cars. The event honors Alfa Romeo and will take place at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. www.montereyhistoric.com

August 16-17: Gooding & Company conducts the official Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance auctions. More than 130 cars are expected to cross the block. Significant offerings include a 1934 Triumph Dolomite 8C-2400 GS, the 1938 "Sleeping Beauty" Alfa Romeo 6C, and the original 1914 Stutz Series E Bearcat. Tickets are $30. www.goodingco.com

August 17: Lancia, Lamborghini, and General Motors’ centennial will be celebrated at the 2008 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. www.pebblebeachconcours.net

August 17: Members of the Automotive Fine Arts Society will exhibit their work as part of the 23rd annual art show at the 18th fairway of the Pebble Beach Golf Links. www.autoartgallery.com
